Bi-metal M42

Bi-Metal blades have specially hardened M42 high-speed steel tooth tips and a 4% chromium alloy backing, which are far more resistant to the intense stress exerted upon them by modern machinery. They are excellent for cutting any metal with a maximum hardness of 50 on the Rockwell C scale. Their service life is about ten times longer than that of regular carbon steel bandsaw blades, resulting in significantly less machine downtime from changing blades and a reduced cost per cut. The use of Bi-Metal M42 Blade is advantageous for difficult substrates due to their hardness and roughness.
